I can’t really decide which one I find to be a worse idea lately (in a highly globalized society).

I mean they are both artificial divisions.

It’s really hard to define who is/should be member of each group.

They’re both used to divide people.

Countries are members of many country-groups anyways like UN, NATO, EU etc.

At their core conspiracy theories are the embodiment of critical thinking. Asking questions nobody asks, rejecting ‘truths’, forcing people to actually do research and find proofs. Remember that before Galileo/Copernicus people generally believed that the sun orbits the Earth.
