I knew I hadn’t posted in a while, but I was surprised to see it’s been over 6 months…
A lot has changed in the World since my last post, we’re now in the second Trump era. Woke culture is in decline/defence but the wars are still raging on.
I think they could be called “Times of abundance” or “Times of waste” at least in the so-called “Western” civilization. We both have/own and waste so many resources that it bogs my mind.
ps. Will humans ever decide that we have enough porn?
It seems like nowadays the stories/series/movies/games most often don’t have happy endings. Instead they either end with a cliffhanger or with someone dying.
It all starts with that. Someone feels superior and then forms a group. It challenges every other group and inevitably leads to conflict. The “superior” group wants to prove its superiority, while others want to prove it wrong.
The vast majority of humans just like life and would like to live peacefully.
Facts:
- Women generally live longer than men (so will be retired longer)
- Women generally earn slightly less (so generally will save less)
- Women need to spend part of their lives raising children (again generally will work – thus save – less)
The earlier retirement age for women made sense historically when there was a huge gap in working conditions between the sexes and the majority of work was physical.
Nowadays the retirement age should be (at least) equal.
Analogically to Aprils Fools, we should have a day that should be entirely focused on truth.
It could be just removing the old articles from Aprils Fools, but also so much more. It would be great to start with a day.
The world doesn’t go round because of McGyver-type people that can do everything themselves. On the contrary – it works because of highly trained specialists working in teams.
We, humans, need to drop the made-up historical/cultural divisions among ourselves and start acting as a whole. I think it’s the only way for us to grow and reach for the stars.
On the other hand – if we continue to wage stupid wars between sexes, races, nations or countries – with ever-evolving instruments of destruction – at some point we’ll lose all we have and get back to “square one”.
